I don't think it's a case of "takers". As has been stated here before, what you want is very rare survivor of a very rare car in a very desirable color/option combo. The few that have such a car are not likely to part with it. If/when they do, you need to be standing there with cash in hand, because said car will go quick. The current owner knows he/she will probably never be able to replace this car if they sold it. Good luck and be patient, this could take you years, many of them.

I found they did tighten up the rear a bit. While I did not notice any changes in the straight up/down movement (pot holes), the cornering characteristics were diferent. I have a rear sway bar and had to change out the hard bushings for plain rubber bushings to retain the handling set up I liked. I have the Koni's, but did not want to change the settings on them. Of course I also have a custom front sway bar as well, with the hard bushings. The factory sway bar looks so tiny compared with what I run. Back in the day I had a buddy who worked at Addco and it was right down the road, so I got to stand by and watch him bend up my bar..cool.
I say get the under rides if you need to tighten up the rear leaf springs...otherwise, get a good set of shocks and call it a day.

I would not run the engine until others chime in. From my understanding, many newer oils are missing some components that used to be present for us old fashioned flat tappet cam guys. I run oil that mentions diesel compatibility, as I was told that would ensure I got the old fashioned ingredients. If you have a new type cam/lifters, then you should be able to run anything that is in the right weight vs. your clearances in your engine. Also, if it was built a while back, I would run something like 10w30 or 10w40 if not straight 40w. That would depend on weather as well.

You got it, I don't know how you guys have this down pat? I took them off back in the day when I used to race SCCA Pro Solo II, aka orange pylon killer. HaHa

I'd like to ask a favor of the numbers guru's. I'm cleaning the garage, again, and before I dump any valuable parts I'd like to know what they are. Only two items are unknown to me during this round of cleaning.
1. Flex plate, approx. 13.25 inches dia. 160 teeth with a number like "FOR C4(A)E-63(7)5-B-ASSY". The parenthesis are for the two characters that are not clear. The rest are clear. This part number is on the balance weight of the flex plate.
2. Metal tag, like found on carbs & intakes. PCS Y
2006A 703
Worth anything or do they go into the dumpster with the rest?
Thank You

I'll check, they are down at Dad's garage, mine is full if you know what I mean...It may be a while but I will post.
-
Are they worth anything? I have my originals, front and back, that I removed back around 1978-80. They are just tacking up space in the garage. I like the springs I put on back in the day and will never be restoring mine to stock anyway. Keep for "some day" or sell today?

No it's an auto. I got your pics, are you looking for dates in those places? or on the rear end somewhere?
-
Mine is 100% original, where do I look?

What do the hipo rods weigh? I'm guessing approximately 500-550 grams. Trying to compare aftermarket rods to the originals.

I went on Saturday and didn't see it either. Of course I do wear glasses, so that might explain it....

Asking for a friend...302 Boss block, o.k. if caps are missing. He just "wants one" for his cobra kit car. Don't ask me why, cause I told him to build a simple 331 and be done with it...

Second on the c-4 3.89 perfect combo...unless you drive highways or care about mpg

It is a tight fit. I have used the spare about 15 years ago. I had a flat and was only about two miles from home. The spare had been in the trunk since 1966, so I was a bit nervous. It held up fine. I don't have it there anymore. 1. The car is in need of much work (although it does run/drive). 2. I think it's a little too old now to trust. I suppose if/when it is driven on the streets again, I'll have to come up with something.

My original measures at 25 3/4" as best as I can guestimate. It has about 20,000 miles on it. Of course 0 miles since about 1967...

Mine is similar to everyone else's original.
