Interior lights

  • The interior lights in the quarter panel trims will not go off even after shutting the door what should I check for? They were working up until this afternoon. As always your help is appreciated.

Open one door at a time, press any release the button 4 or 5 times and see if that has any effect. If so replace the part. You can just pull it out of the door frame, it may just be as simple as pulling out the wire, giving it a clean and plugging it back in.

    Hope this helps.

  • If the under dash courtesy lights are also on, open both doors and pull out the push button switch that activates the circuit. Disconnect the black-yellow tracer lead on either of the switches and if the lights go out, that's the side with the bad switch. The other option is to twist off the interior light activator in the headlight switch.
