Does the hipo choke cable have a grommet where it passes through the firewall? If so is there a source to purchase one?

There is a grommet for the choke cable, documented as 352963-S, 1/4in id, 3/4in mtg hole, 7/16in oa thk, split. An exact replacement source is vague. You might try an electronic parts store, plumbing store or hardware store for a similar item.

Seema like I've seen reference to a gromet that is used for the choke hole listed in the various parts catalogs.....is IT anywhere close?? I also understand that this gromet is also used on some other part of the car....

Here is a quick shot of an original grommet from a March '65 San Jose Production car.
I am not aware of this exact grommet being used any place else on the car.

Some folks have had success using the rubber brake line grommet.

There's another business opportunity for you, along with the rubber bumper inside the door latch mechanism (hint).

Grommet looks just like the one used for the Fairlane antenna coming through the upper kickpanel sheet metal. If you have a diameter of the hole, I could check.
