• I 2nd that.

I ran into a couple of guys wearing their HiPo T-shirts proudly and talked to several K owners not on the site - I hope I encouraged them to get back on! Most everyone had heard of the site, but some didn't participate.

There were a number of nice "K" cars there, but you really had to hunt to find them as there were so many cars mixed together. A "K" section would have been nice - but I understand the format - you have to look at a lot of cars to find what you want - and you see a LOT of nice cars in the process!

It was very cool to see 2 K cars in the original owners corral outside the Museum - especially since there were only about 7 or 8 cars total in the corral!

I only went for the day on Saturday and was totally blown away by how large it was - definitely will spend a couple of days at the 50th!

I hope they hold it in Birmingham again - the facility is awesome!

  • had a great time myself my "little" brother flew in from new mexico, and we drove the 2 or so hours down to birmingham from huntsville, ...

.. what a deal!!! move to alabama and get to attend the 45th just a couple hours away, it was great getting to meet so many people from the mustang world..especially the old timers who knew k cars inside and out..

even ran into some of my friends from germany!! it was an excellent venue for the show! i second the 50th being held there again!! mike sullivan

  • If they have the 50th Anniversary show, they will need a larger facility. Possibly Lowes Motor Speedway(with the 4 wide drag racing),

Ford Field in Detroit(All Indoor facility),Kansas Speedway (with new neighboring casino)or Texas Motor Speedway (with one paved lot for 3500 to 4000 cars in one area).

  • They definitely will need a bigger spot. There was not nearly enought paved area. This was WAY too spread out.Beautiful road race facility but didn't work well as a large show, display, swap area.Very dusty and even muddy at the low part of the parking field(by the vendor area) where they stuck me .And don't get me going on the disorganization....letting regular cars, trucks and anything else in the lower end of a specific show display area.Overall it was nice but I liked the larger paved area at Nashville.Texas would be cool.I couldn't find any specific groups except the French group, the hwy Patrol cars & Bullits. Where were the boss 302's boss 429, 68 1/2 CJ's K code group etc like they were grouped in Nashville?
