You might try to locate someone who has a close build date to you car if they have a '67 Hipo car and if they have the original engine components, you might get some date codes from them. If you have a Dearborn built car, they used a lot of older dated parts on those Mustangs with the other 2 plants getting more updated castings as they were newer production plants and more of their parts came directly from the supplier source.

These are NOS items in the Ford boxes:

    16 - C3OZ 6513-A Valve Springs $250

    8 - C3OZ 6505-A Exhaust Valves $80

    8 - C4OZ 6507-A Intake Valves $80

    16 - C3OZ 6514-A Valve Spring Retainers $150

Would like to sell the above items together if possible

One set of 16 used HP valve spring retainers $90

If they have the 50th Anniversary show, they will need a larger facility. Possibly Lowes Motor Speedway(with the 4 wide drag racing),

Ford Field in Detroit(All Indoor facility),Kansas Speedway (with new neighboring casino)or Texas Motor Speedway (with one paved lot for 3500 to 4000 cars in one area).

In case you need any of these items and are going to the Birmingham MCA show..

    HP camshaft C3OZ $425 SOLD@show

    HP crankshaft $700

HP intake valves $175/offer one set in boxes SOLD@show/ one set loose in tin

HP exhaust valves $175/offer one set in boxes SOLD@show/ one set in tin

    HP valve springs $275 SOLD@show

I can ship or you can get it at the show...NO shipping cost

Just pulled out 12 Magnum wheels and 8 '65 Styled Steel from the storage shed. Some of these came off of a Shelby back in the late 70's, some were purchased from Ford in 1974, and the last set were from a swap meet.

Is there a special designation on the wheels where I could tell the their origin? Original/Ford over the counter/Aftermarket? One set of the '65 SS wheels are NOS in the box, but have the notch in the center like the '67 SS Wheel.

The one that came with my Dad's NEW 1965 Fairlane 500 was made of leather that had a foldover so you could put your key inside and snap it shut. On one side, it had the dealer name(Edwards Ford)address(Dallas Ave, Lancaster, TX) and a Ford badge logo on it. They made the outside cover in different colors so you could get one close to the color of your car. My Dad's was GREEN; the car was Tahoe Turquoise. Will try to find it.

The early low-profile tach has the 5.10.15.20...70.75.80. These were seen mostly on the 65 GT and Deluxe interior cars. Starting sometime around 8/65 there was a change to the 10.20.30..70.80.

You can look on the original Faria tachometer housing and see the date stamped on the side.

You guy must be behind the times. In the last year, I have sold 2 of these radios for $1850 and $1600. The most recent one was at the MCA show in Huntsville, AL. What is really hard to find are parts for these radios. They were made by Bendix who made a small appearance in the radio electronics business. All of the AM/FM units use the same internal parts, just different chassis. Some of the Bendix AM parts are the same as in the AM/FM. But the FM tuner is usually the part that goes first. Of the 6 I have had over the years, the FM tuner was bad in 3 of them.
