65 Mustang Convertible, very rare 289K with GT option. In 1965 only 7273 289 high performance Mustangs were built! This represents less than 1% of the Mustang production according to the 289K Registry by Tony Gregory.
The convertible is well equipped and painted with beautiful Tropical Turquoise. The black pony interior is fresh and detailed well enough to show with “concours driven” cars. It’s nicely optioned, including console, 4 speed, Rally-Pac, rear folding glass window and power top.
The GT package may have been installed, as it appears the date of manufacturing is too early for the production of the GT package. The GT equipment includes, Leaf springs, front disc brakes, fog lamps, and the installation of “Mustang” emblems on fenders with the notable lower GT running stripes.
