This set of used main caps SOLD for $510.69 by eBay seller "5kfast".

DESCRIPTION:

You are bidding on a good set of 289 HIPO main bearing caps that came out of VIN stamped block "5F09K679219". The #1 cap was machined over the #1 and arrow, and someone scrawled the number 1 and an arrow on it. Other than that, there is nothing wrong with the caps. Additional pictures available on request.

I have been involved with high performance cars and parts for 30+ years and its time for these items to go to a good home. ...These are a complete set of five of the beefier large shoulder main bearing caps, numbered 1, 2, 3, 4, and the C30E-A Rear Cap. These HiPo Caps were cast from High Nodular Iron. All 289 Blocks were the same in appearance except for these rare main caps. The 289 HiPo Blocks where just Brinell tested for hardness. All 289 HiPo blocks carried C5AZ-E casting number, and so did many standard 289 blocks. So all you have to get is a common C5AZ-E block, and have it line bored with these main caps and you're home free.

You are bidding on a nice matched set of RARE 289 HiPo main caps. These caps are the High Nodular Iron crank caps used on all Shelby's K-Code's and 271 Hp motors. Caps are numbered 1 thru 4 with the rear cap marked C30E-A.
