T10 trans info

can any tell me if the T 10 used in the 65 shelbys where all aluminum meaning the case and tailshaft, or just the case i have seen a few with the case aluminum and the tailshaft cast iron thanks inadvance Otto

I have built and repaired 4 different 65 Shelby trannies. All had the case the extension housing made out of cast. alum. They latest date code was aug. of 65, so I cannot make any specific comments on teh later 65 early 66 units, but I feel they too should be alum.

don't know about the '65's. But numerous '66 GT-350's, including mine, came from the factory with an aluminum maincase & cast iron tailshaft.
