• Help

I am trying to get a hold of the correct stock clutch. Now bear in mind I am across the pond this is not easy.

Both NPD and Summit sell RAM clutches. I ordered a kit from Summit shown in the catalogue as having the correct 8 spring hub with organic friction material. I checked with Summit that the disc was as per picture and they confirmed yes it was.

    So I get a 6 spring disc.

I cant seem to find out if RAM do an 8 spring organic disc.

So anyone know a part number and source for a correct clutch kit with organic 8 spring friction plate ?

    Thank you.

PS I assume I am right in trying to go for an 8 spring plate ?

  • there are places over here that have good reputation for rebuilding Hi-Po clutches. Do you have the old Hi-Po clutch that might be rebuilt?

  • Thanks Ray

I do have a correct old one. I dont know the costs involved in sending stuff back to the US for rebuild. I sent my Rally Pac tach back and that was OK. But a clutch disc is a lot heavier.

Besides Customs get all excited and want to charge you for getting your own stuff back.

I am receiving help from this forum on the matter.

    Cheers

PS had to put my pic up as its you <img src=images/icon_smile.gif border=0 align=middle>

+2 on Arizona Brake & Clutch!!!!! I had THE original 8 spring disc and pressure plate from my K engine and sent them both to them for rebuild, came back beutiful and perfect in every way!! as I recall both pieces were around $150.00 including shipping both ways, that was over 2 years ago. You will feel so much better like I do each time you drive your Kar with the original setup in it!!
