Correct Carpet Colour For Palomino Interior

  • Im in the process of Restoring my 65 K Fastback GT , my Interior is coded 69 Palomino ( Blue/White Pony Trim ) ,The carpet in the Car at present is Dark Blue which looks ok , However how do i find out if this dark Blue Colour Carpet is correct for my Palomino Trim.

Also with all the Debates over Carpet Quality Recently ( ACC Brand )can anyone give me any leads too a Better Quality Fitting Carpet.

    Thanks , Shane k code 65

  • Interior code 69 is for palomino luxury interior, D2 references the white w/blue luxury interior. Seems to me your kar should have a palomino (tan) carpet to match the palomino luxury (pony) interior.

  • Thankyou for your feedback guys , i was Not aware that Palomino was TAN , i have not seen a Wimbleton White Mustang before with Tan Interior , so is Palomino all Tan , or Tan with White.

    Thanks Shane

  • Shane,

Correction to my earlier response. D2 is white w/blue trim (not luxury). 62 is the blue w/white luxury interior (pony). Palomino is tan in my opinion. I'm trying to find a picture for you. If memory serves me right, the palomino luxury interior is all tan but with the pony door panels and door lights of course.

  • Thanks for that , i viewed ebay photos , i noticed the trim code being 29 , obviously Tan But std Interior ,@ with mine being 69 , that indicates Tan Pony Trim , is that correct.

    Thanks for your time.

    Shane

Here's a car with some very good pictures of a palomino interior. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/…WAX%3AIT&viewit

To complete some comments to my above post, the luxury interior would also have the pony seats which have different seat buns and upholstery.

  • When I first viewed it on my wife's laptop (bad screen), it looked really washed out and even a bit ivy goldish. I still think it looks two-toned after a second look, though. Is that amount of contrast with doors and panels normal?
