Hi,just wondering if you might have a 66,thanks

Paul,
I'll take the best one you have. Let me know its condition in terms of rust? Thanks, Wallace

I have no 66 decklids. Paul.

Those Fastback deck lids are the same for 65 and 66. The 66 models used a 65 part number for Fastbacks and a 64 part number for both hardtops and convertibles for both years.

66 has a extra rib, they are in the area where the jack instruction sticker goes, they run from center bottom corner to top outside corner, sort of like a "v".
-
The underside structure is different for '65 and '66. '65 has 2 large rectangles, '66 has 4 circles. Not sure of the changeover time, probably very late '65... about the same time as the change to the "dimpled" LH fenders.

I looked at my 65 and 66 Fastbacks trunk lids and you are correct, they are different. The 66 has an extra 'V' shaped 'rib'. Build date on the 65 Fastback is 5/11/65, the 66 is 10/18/65 if someone else wants to narrow down a transition date.

Did you sell all of those original '65 Fastback trunk lids? If you've still got any I would be interested in more details. Condition, date codes, etc. Thanks in advance.

I have one 65 decklid left. Please email if interested. Paul
