Market survey - What's it worth?

For a manual trans. I presume? Makes a big difference. A C4ZE-Y2 can fetch over $500 for a core if it has a later '65 date... which makes it correct for a Shelby also.

I paid over $500 for a ready to install C4ZE Y1 (Dearborn car)

with correct date code.I guess if it's what you need,price is

what ever your willing to pay for it.

I think there is a C4ZE Y2 on ebay now.

Just like to add my 2 cents. I have never seen an

original 65 Shelby (5S114 and up) with a Y2 marked radiator,

only G2.

That's the question. Have you seen later 65 HiPo's

with the Y2 marked radiator. If so, it probably means

that the 65 Shelbys got a specific radiator. If not,

the Y2 could be for 4-speed C and or A code and G2

for 4-speed HiPo's. Strange that no paperwork on this

issue has surfaced. I have seen San Jose Y2's dated

5 65 and G2 dated 5 65 so there most likely is a difference.

My June 65 K-code San Jose Fastback has a Y2 and a date of 4-65. I believe it to be original.
