I know, I know, it’s not a Mustang but it is a "K" car, preceding the Mustang group!

With the help of this websites membership I was able to locate all the correct date coded pieces for my rebuild.

Looking pretty good if I don't say so myself.

It's OK with me...your car is almost identical to the HiPo Fairlane I used to have many years ago. Mine had white inserts in the body mouldings, but otherwise was the same color as yours outside and inside. It sure brings back some great memories for me.

It is beautiful, Terry. As with Gene, it brings back memories for me, too. I drove a ton of them off the line at the DAP back in '64. Every time I got in one of the hipos, I chomped at the bit.

Terry, love your Kar. I also have a 64 Fairlane 500 Hi Po, glacier blue. It's a tough decission at times as to which Kar to drive . 65f/b K - 64 fairlane K . How wide are your rims?

Joe, Thanks, the rims are 6.5". I have a nice set of sport coupe caps but prefer the dog dish ones. My neighbor, when I lived near Detroit in the 60's, had a glacier blue hipo Fairlane. He also had a white 64 sedan that he bought from North Brother's Ford, their factory dealership sponsored "White Lightning" that ran C/D stock at Detroit Dragway. That's where it all started for me.
