Well another year has come and gone. But it's been a good year for the HPM site and the registry. We have over twelve-hundred registered members and the information exchange continues to improve. We've added even more MCA Judges, Shelby Owners, and more people who have been around these Kars for a long time and are very knowledgeable about them. The registry continues to grow and we are developing a paper trail of previous owners and interesting facts in the registry when a Kar changes hands.

On behalf of the HPM Staff (Marv, Hank, Gene) we would like to wish everyone and their families A Safe and Great Holiday Season and A Prosperous New Year.

The plastic ones work, but I had to shave the sides down - I think Murph told me to do that. But, it looks like you have the real thing.

I agree about Bill Heeley --- attitude is everything. I told him that I'd stop and see him and the operation when I get out his way. Also agree about David Kee.

(Incidentally, all areas / cities don't have top-notch trans rebuilders, but in an east side Detroit suburb, there is an old school transmission guy, so that's where I had mine done.)

I also have the Centerforce and love it. Still have the original in the garage.

Is it the same as the speedo, temp, and fuel needles? A number of years ago I bought a small bottle of paint that worked well. I think it may have been from John's Mustang Parts.

Hmmm, I don't know if they're the same. My son has the rally-pac in California and the rest of the car is here in where we volunteer.

DO NOT SEND THE LINKAGES. Clean and coat them yourself. They WILL NOT do them.

The head guy then was (maybe still is) Nick Bird - knows what he's doing and is very helpful.

The prices vary on automatics, but the manual shifters were all $90 then.

Have any of you guys ever painted the needles of you rally-pacs? We're having trouble getting paint that is thin enough and sometimes it will not stick to the needles and doesn't adhere evenly.

W S Journal did a story on this subject last week. Seems it is becoming popular for people to spend time and money searching for their first or favorite car from their youth.
