65 K, GT, Pony, 4 speed For Sale

  • I have decided to sell my late 65 factory equiped K,GT,4 speed, pony interior fastback. I've had it for 9 years and it's been fun, but it's time to make some room in the garage and move on to another project. I'm asking $45K and even at that will not recoup what I've spent on it. As you can see from the video link, this was not a quick, easy, cheap rebuild. So that nobody thinks I am trying to misrepresent this car-it has a correct but not numbers matching engine. The fan, motor mounts, exhaust manifolds, steering box, & transmission back are all original to the body. Many of the body panels have been replaced. There is no painted over rust and the torque boxes are original and sound. I have not put this car out on the internet yet as I'm hoping that I might find someone from this website that would appreciate this car for its rarity and keep it as close to stock as I have attempted to make it. You may view the video I recently made of it at:

  • Thanks for the compliments on the youtube. I did one on a motorhome we put up for sale a couple years ago and it worked well so I thought I'd do one for the Mustang. It will be nice to have the video to look at once the car is sold also. I've had one inquiry so far and am getting additional info for him.

  • Scott, Your video presentation is absolutely the best of this type I've ever seen!! I, too would be giving you a call if I already didn't have a K code!! Great Work!!

Have you ever thought of starting a business that provides this type of service to others selling special vehicles? You'd be good at it!!

    Good Luck with your sale!!-Rick

  • Hopefully you have been bitten with the bug here and will find that K needing your talents, that way we can keep you in the ' fold '.Great Kar, great video.

  • Thanks again for the compliments. It really wasn't that difficult. My wife does video scrapbooking of our vacations and grandkids and I've helped her with the uploading and music for them, so it wasn't too big a deal for me to put one together. She does a lot more fancy stuff than I did with the Mustang. That One True Media is a pretty nice site for doing presentations. I did one a year ago of our motorhome that we sold which was more extensive that the Mustang

It helps having a nice background-we have some pretty nice scenery where I live (on Kentucky Lake).

My one somewhat serious inquiry on the car has backed out, so anyone hear of someone looking for a nice kar, let them know about mine. I haven't brought myself to putting it on eBay as most of the eBay folks don't have an appreciation as to how special this Mustang is.
