    i searched but didn't find an answer...

    did K codes have a drain on their tanks?

    i will be needing a new one

    and want to get the right one

    Yes, they did originally have a drain.

    Dave, I believe speaking strictly early Mustangs-first generation-'64.5-'73 that they all came from the factory with gas tanks WITH drains, if I'm wrong someone will surely correct me-so if you have an early Mustang W/O a drain I would say the tank has been replaced before.

    I guess it is not really relevant to this site since the HiPo's are 65-67, but the 1970 Mustang gas tanks did not come with drain plugs. We just got those in for those guys.

    Some (all?) later service replacements did not have a drain.
