It's a bittersweet day

  • Well folks, the K is gone. When I was driving it last week, a dealer spotted me and followed me home. Turns out he's been looking for a K code convertible for years and hasn't found any worth pursuing. He owns a Chevrolet dealership in town and offered to even trade me his 1 allotment of a Cyber Gray ZR1. I don't even have to pay the sales tax! How could I refuse. He should take delivery some time next month. I'm going to miss her, but it was time to move on to something else.

  • I'll beleive it when I see a photo of you sitting in the ZR1....with the K driving away in the background.

Nice try - hey want to buy some coastal property in SW Arizona?

  • That is strange - I had the very same thing happen to me, only the guy making the offer was a retired Yugo dealer, and he wanted me to pay the sales tax! I passed on his offer because I am in my seventh decade and decided that by the time the Yugo was collectable I would be too old to reap any gain from the deal. Hope we both made the correct decision. Happy April 1st!

  • Troy,

You had me going there for a second...just a second though. The Corvette reference on the Mustang board caught me off guard a bit.
