• Extrapolating the production numbers from 66 I think I just got the single rarest combo that was availability(sans some COPO special order nonsense). 1966 Emberglo, GT, K code, Green dot automatic. She maybe the last of her kind as working the math there were only 15-30 produced with these options. That would put it up there with the 68 lightweight Cobra Jets and the 64.5 pace cars. She wears all her own metal and went through a resto in the 90s. She is perfectly imperfect and I love her. My rare girl. My other Mustang is a 68 GT500 Shelby and I love this car more.

  • My first car was a 66 Emberglo A code coupe. Hand me down from my dad when I turned 16 in 1974. Normally he would not have kept the car that long but he knew I wanted it.
On my way to school senior year some lady backed out of her driveway in front of me. I tried to get around her but she took out the right quarter panel. The search was on for a fastback of any engine, where I eventually found the car Kar I still own to this day.
