I noticed what appears to be the data plate info on the top of the registration. I enlarged it but if someone else can enhance it like Heratio or Grissom can, please do so.
This is what I came up with :
Body - 63A
Color - A
Trim - 26
Date - 13A
DSO - 22
Axle - 5
Trans - 5
By looking up the date in "In Search of Mustangs" and the K registry, the VIN should start with 6T09K188.
This seller is definately not doing us in the hobby any favors!

If the engine and trans that comes with this were really Hipo items, which I am sure that they are not, then at least this would be more worthwhile. The seller tends to lead you to believe that all of this was together at one time just by the lack of full explanations.

Is the balance of the VIN covered so it won't be known the registry? Does that add perceived value to the transaction under the guise of confidentiality?

I e-mailed (via e-bay) yesterday to ask if the engine/trans were from the VIN, as of 2 minutes ago, no answer yet.
got answer this AM. it is not the correct engine, it is a regualr 289 and trans.
