New Member in Sin City

  • Hello from Las Vegas. I recently purchased a 1965 Mustang, 2+2, with the k code option engine. It’s Rangoon red with a black interior. Pretty much true to form with several incorrect items that do not substantially affect performance.

    I know I will be tremendously thankful for all the information that I will learn on this site and from all the great members.

  • Sorry for the late reply. My wife and I have been visiting relatives out of state and only returned today. I wish to thank everyone for the kind comments regarding my K-code.

    Regarding the three-2 barrel intake set up, it works really well. The center carburetor drives the engine for most of the time. The first and third carburetors kick in when the pedal is sufficiently depressed giving it a real boost in the pants! Honestly, it feels somewhat akin to turbo charging.

    Consequently, I get pretty darn good fuel economy and power when I need it!
