This motor came to me with a t bucket project in the early 80s. I bought a 66 mustang in 1970 and put this motor in it early 80s. Drove it maybe 50 miles. Kind of radical for street. Needed money and sold the 9 inch from under the car. While the car sat for years the motor stuck. So I can say its not broken and i have been putting penetrant around rings for some time. May turn over now. So theres the history.
This motor is a mix of standard and hipo parts. Includes solid cam and lifters. Missing intake and carb. Researched this maybe 5 years ago. Best i can tell it has no numbers on block to say its a hipo. It does have many hipo parts. Pictures tell the story. I will strap to a pallet but buyer must make arangements with shipper. Feel free to ask questions.
As I understand it blocks were same with the hipo blocks being stamped a certain way. This block is not stamped. This block has standard crank caps.

This long block has a set of standard main caps and the seller appears to be honest in their description of the engine. It does have a fairly rusty looking harmonic balancer and it does not appear to have a counterweight behind the crank sprocket.
