Tire size 15 inch

  • I would like opinion or even better also some photos of bf goodrich TA in 15 inch to suit 65 fast back with 7 inch front rim and 8 rear.

My problem is i have no idea what size to buy to make the car look good. I know I want to go wider than standard but not to wide so as the car looks wrong. Also should I fit differant width on the front and back.

    All help appreciated thanks

  • This is very subjective.

What looks good to one person is going to look all wrong to someone else. Here's one opinion; If you want 15" wheels, this is what I would do. Put 215/65-15 all around. With that size you don't really need 8" wheels in back. And you've got enough sidewall to keep that vintage look.

A more commonly used size would be 225/60-15. But you may have roll the front fenders to get that size to fit.

Either one would be wider that the stock size which is 185/75-14

You can get the Radial T/A in either size. Or if you can do without the raised white letters, I'd recommend the BF Goodrich Traction T/A, a much better tire performance wise.

  • Hi

I have 205 60 front, 235 60 rear fitted on 15x7 aftermarket style wheels. They fill the wheel opening and I do not have tire rub. The front has the 1 inch drop, just have to be careful on driveways etc

I am happy with the aggressive look and the car handles great and I have not modified the fenders. Put the orginal style wheels away and will keep.

Hope this is of some help.

    Cheers

This is the size combination I'm running on 15 x 7 torque thrust d's. Looks good, no rubbing.
