This authentic Ford part is marked with the CF casting for Cleveland Foundry and a date code of A 10 66 ( 6A10) January 10, 1966. If you have a correct 1966 K Code Mustang with dated Hipo parts, this is a must for high end collectible examples. Rare dated parts only show up occasionally. Casting part number C3OE 6380 B for Hipo's before 7/1/66. Can be used with any 289 Hipo from 64-66.

All that said, the cracks in the flywheel here are not nearly as bad as mine was and may be able to be surfaced out. Would I spend $699 to find out? Probably not.

Do your due diligence on this flywheel. I do not see the ground area on the counterweight where there should be a Brinnel test mark. Therefore I am in doubt as to this being a true Hipo flywheel. A better picture of the counterweight would be in order here.

Note the huge drill marks in the counterweight where the engine this was attached to was apparently balanced differently than normal. Most likely this flywheel will need to be rebalanced to whatever engine it will be attached to next. Not that is affects the use of this flywheel but it is a later Ford replacement cast September 20, 1971.
