I was hoping all references to my K code/Shelby vin could be properly edited so that a duplicate doesn't just magically appear......this was at the advice of Nico that posted my 6s1206 acceptance as the 1st shelby 😉.........if there's something that requires my attention on my end please inform.....
My Ford Vin has been authenticated by SAAC but as you can imagine the are hesitant to provide the Shelby's cross to protect that owner I assume.....my provenance is iron clad and I will update K-0093 as time permits......if you have questions or comments please reach out......thanks
Don Quillen here. saw your comment. my email is [email protected] ( dont access much) phone is 931-6981261 . i am still making my rear ends with no complaints!
Dean here from Aurora CO, just signed up as I stumbled onto this site. I am in the process of restoring a '63 Fairlane K code and looking for a timing chain for the car. It is an original 40,00 mile car that sat in a garage for 40+ years. Any help in finding the correct timing chain would be appreciated.
Hi Fred , Joe from south Jersey .Finally signed on to this site . Lots of good info. Do you know anyone that repairs tacks. My early 65 Q27 standard interior 8000 tac will not go past 4 grand .Its not hi profile, Mustang on face of tac ,sans RALLEY PAC on cross bar.Not sure if its original... Still loving my 64 K Fairlane along with my 65 F/B.
Sorry to read about your wife, been there......Best wishes
Hey Fred! Been away since the old forum disappeared, long time no see! Sold my k a few years ago but have some NOS parts left to sell I may be asking you about if I can't find info on my own. The one thing I want to ask about at the moment before I put them up on ebay... Besides the many boxes of various years of BF32's I have a set of 8 BF32 STAR plugs. Plugs are new but no boxes. Got any guesses what they might go for these days?
It is good to see your handle back on the site. Please send me an email on this and I will try to be of assistance.
My wife just went through some major cancer surgery, and I am her caretaker. Her house is 66 miles away from mine in Los Angles traffic, so I spend most of my time there. I try to get by my place twice a week to pick up my mail and packages.
Fred, Back on the forum after a long absence. Was reading about the Arvinode system. Not sure how I got them, from whom, and you might already have them, but I have copies of the Mustang Arvinode system blueprints from Ford. Includes the H-pipe, muffler assemblies, forward and aft hangers, and outlet clamps. The muffler assembly blueprints have to be pasted together to show the system on one large layout. Quality of copies is not great, but readable. I also have copies of Arvin Industries patented papers, and copies of Arvin Industries blueprints for the Mustang quarter-wave mufflers and rear resonators. If you don't have these and would like them, I will mail them to you. I assume as administrator you can see my email address. If not, I can provide. Let me know your address and I will send them to you. Bob Mannel
My 65 Koupe was a first week of 65 model San Jose production. 64 1/2 production seems to have ended at the end of July, 1964 in San Jose. It has a scheduled build date of 06H which is August 6, 1964. I also had questioned the Phoenician yellow being listed in most identifiers as a 64 1/2 color.
Koupe 126847 and San Jose 1965 VIN started at 125001. Therefore mine is 1,846 from number one. Therefore you need to drop the 125001 from your VIN. San Jose only built the 64 1/2 version for about 3 weeks.
New to forum. I have lots of questions regarding new k code purchase. So here we go....any idea what the transition month/year that stopped using black base "double hump" air cleaner and went to gold base. My car was born on 11/13/64. I would consider this a fairly early k code. Thanks
