What is this? 68 GT500 Trunk Pic

Hi all.

Just saw this pic of the trunk of a 68 GT500 on ebay and thought someone could clarify what appears to be a curved piece of silver wood in the tunk of the car. What is it?

Rene, That piece that you are looking at is the tail light wiring protector. It is cardboard.

Wow!!! That's really high-tech. No wonder the cars were so expensive back in the day, no expense was spared and attention to detail was strictly adhered to.

Man that is so rank. Must say I've never seen in the trunk of a Shelby before. That's actually quite laughable.
