66 K Code? Coupe on Ebay

This car is listed as a K code however I have some doubts. The door tag information in the ad does not mention the VIN but gives all of the rest of the codes. It is listed as having factory disc brakes however they appear to be Granada ones as the calipers are at the rear rather than the front. It has no parking brake setup. It also has an eight inch rear end. The pictures are not quite good enough for me to tell if the snubber plate is correct although it does appear to have exhaust hanger holes in the right frame rail above the axle. That would be for a transverse single exhaust muffler which, of course, would be wrong. I cannot tell where the rear brake line mounts on the body and I do not see any of the dual muffler hanger setup on the panel under the seat. The bellhousing is incorrect as well. If a moderator wants to pull this post down due to the sketchy nature of the K code status, I will not be offended.

Buyer beware:

Fred is correct, visible rubber snubber over the third member is definitely not Hipo, so it's not K code body. Missing emergency brake cables and levers. Definitely Granada dics. Also note the high bead of material (welding?) along the inner fenders and shock towers.

I don't see anything to indicate it is, or ever was, a K code with factory disc brakes.

Looks to me that the distributor has vacuum advance, aluminum hi rise and radiator, not stock but OK for now if the chassis checks out, and the Shelby hood is nice.
