I have a k code crank i am thinking of selling that measures 2.240 on the mains and 2.114 on rod journells,if my measurments are correct the mains and rods have been machined 0.010 im looking for input/ comments on the limit members here think what a safe limit is to machine a k code crank , thanks, chuck.

<font face='Comic Sans MS'>While certainly no expert on the matter, I've always understood a 30/30 crank should be as viable as a 0/0 crank for spirited driving in any engine application save perhaps an all out race car.</font id='Comic Sans MS'>

When the original engine in my 66 GT350 blew during a road race in 1973 the crank was spared, only the block was toast. <img src=images/icon_smile_sad.gif border=0 align=middle>
The owner at the time had it turned 30/20, rebulit the engine using a Boss 302 D1ZE service block, and continued to race for 5 more years routinely shifting at 7000 RPM.
