• I have what I believe is a hipo carb that came with a Tiger I bought many years ago, but it seems to be missing some parts. First there is not a tag on it and the only stampings I can find are a 112 in a circle, C40FAL on one of the flanges, and a GF on one of the bosses that sticks out on the side. It looks to me like it is missing a secondary accelerator pump rod and maybe some choke hardware, but I am not sure if would be a manual or automatic choke. Is this an early hipo carb and is there anything else missing?

    TIA,

    Jay

  • This is a HIPO casting - but an early one.

In the first picture you can clearly see the cast in choke stop on the front butterfly shaft casting.

Pony carbs probably has all of the missing pieces you need.

  • At this point I am not planning on selling it and I am just looking to collect the parts needed to complete it, but am unsure of what I need. That being said, I have a Shelby carryover (6s081) and if someone had some unique pieces for that, I might consider a trade.

Other than the secondary linkage and the choke pieces, is there anything else that seems to be missing?

    Tater 51,

Thanks for the info on the choke.

    Ralph,

Thanks for the lead to Pony Carbs.
