Help me decode a Autolite carb

  • I have a Autolite carb with the following numbers. Can anyone tell me what it was originally made for? I see all the references to the Tag, but I don't see anything that resembles a tag on this carb.

On the side it has the 1.12 indicating venturi size and there is a small number above the 1.12 symbol that appears to be a upsidedown 37? (otherwise unreadable). The front driver mounting flange has a 64AFDG stamped onto it. A number 3 appears on the bottom lip of the mounting flange. A date of 03-18-64 is cast into the bottom.

Also a large 1 is cast underneath and just below the 1.12 venturi symbol.

    What do I have?

    Thanks for the help.

    Bob

  • Bob, If you look closer at the number on the toe of the carburetor it will read C4AF DG. This was originally for a 64 full size Ford with a 352.
