Are you possibly talking about the few RETRACTABLES that were done by a private company??
-
or are you referring to the large fabric sunroofs that a few dealers, mainly in southern CA, installed?
-
I am talking about the large fabric sunroof? I saw one that looked pretty cool but I am only interested if it was done in the 60's.
-
There was a white one recently on eBay.
-
Those sunroofs seems to be all vintage (period) add ons.
-
FYI - these were not always "vintage add ons" for FoMoCO - they were for 'stangs as far as I know, BUT you could order a '68 Cougar with a fabric sunroof from the factory. In fact, I have seen a car ordered this way - several years ago at the East Coast National Cougar Show in Atlanta.
-
Sure, but the question was a about a fabric sunroof and for a Mustang.
Ford did not do the installation on the Cougar. ASC did those. Was the sunroof available on all Cougars?

AS far as I know this was on the option list for all Cougars that year, but I expect there were very few ordered.
The one I saw was a highly optioned very rare XR-7 GTE Cougar.
It would be interesting to see if Ken Marti has an info.
ASC and others have been doing this type of specialized MFG for the Big 3 for years - just like Kar Kraft doing the BOSS429s.

I have only seen the sunroof on GTE or other special Cougars.
You are saying the Cougar sunroof was fabric but my memory tells me they were steel (????)
