Rally Pac Paint Question

I am restoring my 8k rally pac - I know the outside is painted with Black textured "crinkle" paint, but what about the inside of the case (The space between the front of the rally pac and the chrome ring). My rally pac looks like it has original paint, and this part of the case does not have the textured paint (just reg black semi). I know it is a small detail, but if I am going to do it I want it to be right. Anyone know what is correct???

You are correct in that original low profile units have regular black semi-gloss paint, non-textured in this area. Some reproductions have been incorrectly presented with this area painted the same color as the exterior of the unit, as in color coded or matched.

Inside should be semi flat black, no wrinkle.

I used the Krylon semi flat. Way to go Kevin. That detail work makes all the difference.
