I am ready to part with my 8,000 rpm 1966 rally pac. This is an ORIGINAL unit, not a reproduction. I have tested the tach, it works just fine. I have no idea if the clock works though. Looking for $600.00 or best offer.

Up for sale here is my 1965 Mustang K code coupe. This is a 41k org mile car - like finding one on a used car lot in 1970! The drive train is all original and never been out of the car. All the good stuff is there - carb, orig radiator, fan, heads, etc. The only thing missing is the org fuel pump. Hurst shifter was added, I have the orig in a box with all linkage. The all original interior is a excellent shape. I have the build sheet and all original manuals. This is not a GT car (Someone added the badges). This car runs a drives better than any Mustang I have ever been in - The motor has tons of power and sounds awesome. The trunk and floors are rock solid, the paint is good driver quality. It has only had one repaint, some original paint is still on the jams and trunk / hood underside - there are even some original paint marks!
You see a lot of restored cars, but finding a time capsule like this is very rare - they can only be original once!
Asking $24,500.00 (Torque thrust wheels / tires sold separately)

Sorry about the lack of details - this is a non-gt car, Vintage Burgundy paint, black standard interior. Door tag reads: Body 65A, Color X, Trim 26, Date 67S, DSO 26, Axle 5, Trans 5. She is has a floor console, orig 8k rally pac, org keys, and orig AM radio (that works fine). The cars previous owner was a well known Shelby restorer in PA who has been familliar with the car since new. Underside is dirty, but 100% solid with correct 9 inch rear, smaller mufflers have been added at some point - the car sounds mean.
I don't know how to add pics to this posting, but I have lots of them if you are interested.

I have a Bend Pak and it has been great. Stay away from the cheap imports, if you care about your car (and your life) you will not trust one of them. They throw in lots of extras (Casters, oil change cans, jack plates) but they are just no good. The Bend Pak has a double lock system (you need an air compressor to un-lock it). Mine is not bolted down and is as solid as can be. It sure would suck if my K Code Conv came down and crushed my Corvette! Hope this helps.....

OK Fellas - I have decided to sell my 1965 Mustang K Code coupe (And it kills me to do it). This is without a doubt the best driving Mustang I have ever owned. She is an all original car - only 1 repaint. There is still some original paint in the jams and under the hood (Still has the factory paint stamp). The car has 41k original miles, Orig Autolite 411 carb, engine tag, trans, hipo fan, Hipo Ford radiator, Orig air cleaner assembly, build sheet from inside the door, buck tag, orig manuals, etc. The original interior is in excellent shape (one small tear on the seam of the drivers seat). The only major non-original part is the fuel pump. It currently has a Hurst shifter, the but original Ford shifter with all rods and reverse light wiring comes with the car. I had this car at SAAC this Summer, it got more lookers than some of the Shelbys! The motor has never been apart or out of the car, so it runs just like the boys at Ford designed it - she hauls ass.
I am listing the car on this site because I know there is someone here who will appreciate how rare and special this car is. There are not very many K code coupes in unrestored condition out there. I am asking $24,500.00 for the car. Please send me an email at Kevinloe@yahoo.com for pictures.

Hello -
I decided to take my exhaust manifolds off my 66 K code and clean them up a little. My question is, what color are the manifold bolts supposed to me? They were black on my car, but I have seen them cast color on other cars.

Thanks! That is what I thougt......

I am restoring my 8k rally pac - I know the outside is painted with Black textured "crinkle" paint, but what about the inside of the case (The space between the front of the rally pac and the chrome ring). My rally pac looks like it has original paint, and this part of the case does not have the textured paint (just reg black semi). I know it is a small detail, but if I am going to do it I want it to be right. Anyone know what is correct???

Thanks Bob, but I need the whole clock assembly.

Anyone know where I can find an original clock for my 1966 Rally Pack?
-
I recently bought a 66 K code GT Conv - the car is almost perfect. However, sometime ago someone took the clock out of the rally pack and put in a "Motor Minder" gauge in its place. (It is supposed to monitor fuel economy). I need the clock internals to make the rally pack correct - any ideas???
