I am in the process of removing my Tri-Y headers for bead blasting and refinishing. I was able to remove the RHS header easily. The LHS though is trapped between the motor mount, wheel well, Z-Bar pivot, and oil pan. After looking at that long list of clashing items it seems like the easiest way to get it out would be to take down the Z-Bar. Is this a simple remove/reinstall or will removing the Z-Bar throw my clutch out of rig?

Removing and replacing the Z-bar is very easy and will only take a couple of minutes. If done properly, your clutch adjustment will stay the same.

Thanks Fred,
Looks like way to remove the bar (after removing springs/linkages top and bottom) is to loose the bolts holding the outer mount bracket to the torque box, correct?

Mark the edge of the bracket and note the position of the two bolts.

Jim and Fred,
Thanks for the tips. Easy deal. Parts are off for refinishing.
