I decided to post about this car which was bought from a former member here.It was originally bought in Cleveland where it had stayed almost it's whole life. This car was a factory race car built at the Dearborn plant in July/Aug.64 that Ford did to go class racing G/S in 1964 and owned by Ford Engineer Andy Miller/Marion Lutz which Lutz was head of Hot Testing Race Division.I understand that only 6-7 of these Hipo Mustangs out of the 12 built have been found and are real RARE.Car was raced from late 64 to 73 and stored away until the last owner found it in 2006 I was told.It was raced at tracks in northern part of Ohio,Mich.,Indiana,Wisc.and Cali.and was a Record Holder in AHRA in 66-67.Car was flat towed across country in Jan.65 and back to Winter Nationals and was World Class Winner in 67 at Green Valley,Tx.Car was apart when I purchased it and am getting it back together in 1964 race trim.Alot of parts are detailed and body is getting close to blocking primer for paint.Took sometime to get car media blasted and small details fixed but should make a nice car.Am taking photo's for scrap book to keep with car along with original photo's and Record Certificates etc.that former owner had along with 1960's AHRA rule books.Even have original drivers helment along with World Class Winners trophy and jacket.
