That's pretty much the going rate now. The one I'm restoring was a little more than that and did not include a CJ motor or trans.

The one I'm restoring probably was a little better as far as the body goes. In production numbers, R code 68.5 fastbacks are rarer than a GT500KR fastback. Pretty much the same car.

Wow is right. I can think of a variety of scenarios where ya' might pay that much for a project, but is profit one of them? Well, maybe we'll see it at one of the auctions down the road.

Well, a 68.5 CJ fastback sold at BJ a couple years ago for like $435k. Remember the "Hemi-Hunter" advertising?

The 2 that I'm helping restore are not being done for re-sale.
