I thought so! I guess the red/brown ones are for earlier cars? this was my mistake-I insisted that my restorer put the red/brown one on my car.......anyone want to trade a black correct repro for a new red/brown correct repro??
-
How late were the red/brown ones considered correct?

What BLACK one do I need the FOMOCO SCRIPT or BLOCK letters?? both are listed as '65-'66 in the VA Mustang catalog.
Keep in mine that my car had a scheduled build date of July 27th 1965.....and FYI: I have THE original owners manual with the first owners info all typed in by the dealer and it WAS delivered to him on August 11, 1965 so the build date scheduled couldn't have been off too much....

You want the Bakelite Solinoyd I happen to have one $650 nos in box

I have bought the AMK BLACK one from NPD-it has the "FOMOCO" SCRIPT lettering on it on the lower left corner, "RBM" on the lower right, and "2701966" on the top, this is all on the top of the unit read from the side that attaches to the fender apron, it also has tooth washers on the battery cable terminals.....I thiught it should have the built-in (attached to the nuts)flat washers.....this thing carries NPD # 11450-1B and has what looks line an old Ford part number of B6AZ-11450-SRP on the box.....is THIS the most correct repro that I can get then??
