Rear brake adjusters?

  • These rears don't have the cable or horseshoe, none of it. Has a different spring down at the adjuster which of course can be adjusted with the tool through the backing plate. Could this be correct???

  • The rear brakes had BOTH self adjusting levers and cables - AND the screw adjuster for inital adjustment. In fact the "self" adjusting levers actually move the same screw adjuster from the inside.

Sounds like someone removed or didn't replace the self adjusting parts during the last brake job.

You can buy all these pieces from any Mustang Shop or Auto Parts Store - buy BOTH the spring kit and the self adjusting kit and you'll get what you need.

  • That's what I have to think......<img src=images/icon_smile_shock.gif border=0 align=middle>

Still not 100% positive that this early car may be correct this way??

    Hmmmmm....
