Ending the year with the installation of my new motor. Thanks to Charles Turner for fielding many questions. Also thanks to Marv, Moneymaker and Jeff Speegle.
Matching numbers, L5, all stock except for the fan spacer which is a Ford part that works with the 4 row radiator. Pony did the carb, Chuck Barbero did the distributor and I did the rest. The oil pressure gauge was for spinning oil pressure on the stand. The motor was all there with original VIN, carb and engine tags. Fresh bottom end and all NOS valve train with Marv's cam. Concessions made with Comp Cams poly locks, double roller chain and porting the exhausts to match the manifolds. The pic with the manifold gasket is for illustration; exhaust manifold gaskets were not installed. The cam timing was right on the money with the timing card.
