Can someone post a pic or give a good description of where the temp sending unit is located on a 66 K?
Thanks... Gary

It goes in the intake port directly behind the distributor.
The port behind the thermostat housing is for the heater hose inlet elbow that goes to the heater core.
I'm getting ready to post pics of my newly freshened 6F09K engine and bay and can include a detail of that area.
Hope this helps........

Thanks Mark.... the pics would be a great help to me. Please let me know when you post them.

Gary,
Here is a link to see a picture of my engine with a good view of the tempeture sender. It's behind the distributor. Our web site here won't let me enlarge the pictures to get a better view. Hope this helps. If it don't work, email me your address, I'll send it direct.

Thanks Dave that is exactly what i needed. I'm debating rather or not I should remove the 3x2 on my engine and put it back stock. It has what appears to be a mechanical temp gague now that does not work. Thanks again for the help.

Dave, your thermostat housing bolts should be painted block color as well...

Thanks Merlyn,
I am not quite done yet with the engine. I have to take the heads off and have some work done. Then I'll put the last coat on after the heads are reinstalled. Thanks again. What paint should I use for the exaust manifolds?

Sure is pretty, Dave.
