I have an NOS LH side.

Still looking for a NOS pair?
Do you absolutely need NOS or will a nice OE set work? There is a set that looks pretty good on ebay right now here. I bought a LH side like this a while back and just repainted it, now looks as good as NOS.
Thanks for the heads up as they don't look bad but would rather have a set of NOS ones...Thanks
Have you seen eBay item # 250214559518
Those on Ebay 250214559518 are the later C8ZE type that he does not want. The C4ZE ones that he wants have been obsolete for over 40 years now.

The decription gave a C5ZZ numbers. Just for my edification, what is the difference between C5ZZ and the C4Z parts?
It was not uncommon for Ford to use later service parts with the same part number. Although, in this case, if I remember right, the affix was incremented to like a -C or -D for the later fender emblems. Even though the box may have a C5ZZ number on it, the horse emblems either were the C4ZB or C8ZB (Which are engineering numbers). Why is this important?? Well, because the C8ZB have larger pins and the pin pattern is not the same as 65-67. Basically, if you want to use a C8ZB horse emblem on a 65/67, you either have to break off one of the pins or drill a new hole... and also drill out all the holes to larger diameter.
Charles is correct on his statement. The original part numbers for the C4ZE version are C5ZZ 16228 A and C5ZZ 16229 A. The ones with the C8ZE version are C5ZZ 16228 D and C5ZZ 16229 B. The pin that is in the wrong position is under the horses tail.

The bad part is I still need a set?
