Looking for a set of backing plates I can use with 2 1/2" brakes. I have the Aerostar setup REF HERE but still need the backing plates. They don't have to be original KH or from a Shelby. Anything else that works is fine.

Hank, send me a picture of what you are looking for and any identifying numbers/dimensions to look for. I think I might have what you are looking for. If I do I'll send 'em to ya for the shipping cost only, any value of the parts will be a donation to the site.

Here's what an original set looks like. Not sure about numbers for non-original sets.

Hmmm.... those pics look like they have an HM stamp not a KH stamp. I'll take a look what I have tomorrow and get back to you...

Part#s KH 49294 and KH 49295 are correct for 65 and at least early 66 GT350s. Later 66 GT350s have a different KH#. I agree that sure looks like a HM stamp, I'll try to find out some more info....

I'm sorry, I totally forgot to look at the backings I have today. Monday's are hectic...

I looked at the e-bay link to the KH backing plates, and the KH is upside down. That is why it looks like HM. Thought you guys might want to know.

Great link!
Sorry Hank, I still haven't check the backing plates I have...

Hank, did you find your backing plates? I did finally get a chance to take a quick look at the ones that I have but couldn't find any numbers due to the crud on them. What I have looks an awful lot like those you referenced...
BTW, as per the info in the MP link above I believe the plates I have came from front of my kar (PO had installed drums so his cragars would fit - this with a disc brake MC and PV setup - not fun to stop!) and I believe they were 2-1/2". Have no idea what they might have been salvaged from.
