<hr height=1 noshade id=quote></BLOCKQUOTE id=quote></font id=quote><font face="Verdana" size=2 id=quote>. Why don't you post the details here, we can ask questions to make it as clear as possible what you do and do not have. Then we can give our best guess as to what it is worth..... Someone on the site might be interested in a project...<img src=images/icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=images/icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>

  • I dont know how to post pictures. It is a 65 fastback k code. The floors have been replaced. the drivers side rear quarter panel and tail panel was replaced both with nos panels. It is getting close to start priming. It is a complete car. Glass, panels, interior. It will need the seats recovered, dash pad, carpet, new trim chrome trim around fold down. It has the correct 9" rear end, front suspention, I have the original drums for the front and bought disk to upgrade. The trans is a top loader but not numbers matching. The motor is not either. I have a 1965 e block, correct 65 motor mounts, exhoust manifold, intake, c8 nos balancer, hipo heads aftermarket valve covers and air cleaner. There are some nos stuff like some of the badges and turn signal lights. The car is currently completly disassembled so it can be correctly restored. I also has driver quaility originial steel style rims.

  • Sounds like a good Kar, but an enclosed trailer is also a must!!<img src=images/icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle> Can you tell us the door tag info, whether it is in the registry, and where it is, for pick up? The short block, is it all hipo or what is not hipo? What shape are the doors in? are they still assembled?<img src=images/icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=images/icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>

  • The block is not a hipo. It is a e code that is dated in 65. The car is a end of jan build. Red on Red. open rear end, 4 speed trans. it is in the registar. The doors are very nice. No rust not even in thr front corners. There also is a console. located in western wisconsin by minneapolis. I bought the car in louisiana. Year: 5 1965

  • Okay so it sold for $8500. It appears to have no front suspention, steering, grill, head light buckets, unsure of how complete the interior is. No motor or transmittion or k specific parts except the 9 inch rear end. Aftermarket fenders and hood. Mine is a compplete car not a k motor but a e block with everything k except the mains, rods and a carb. So I can conclude mine is worth more then 8500 but how much?

  • Yours IS more complete, I think its worth in the high teens. Its potential is limited slightly by not having the original drivetrain. Finished it will have some serious money spent to get it correct and assembled and painted, [ good paint jobs ain't cheap ]. $10,000 isn't out of line for a top paint job, some hipo caps and rods, period correct hipo parts as needed....assembly by a craftsman....Don't get me wrong, its a good car, I'd like it, but I finished a project last year and....the money just flows, ya know? Let us know your thinking...<img src=images/icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=images/icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>

  • We'll see. That bidder used the BIN, and has a history with a BID retraction in the last 6 months. Nothing is final until the money exchanges hands. Seems like a strong price for a project like that. If you really want to know what your car is worth, just put it on EBAY with no reserve. Then again, your first post states you know what you have into it and you know your bottom line, so why not just set that as your reserve and see what happens. Better yet, tell us here what that price is and see if anybody is interested in purchasing it or if we feel that is unobtainable in the current market.

  • I probably should have been more clear to what I am doing in my first post. I stated that I am thinking of selling it. I started a new business and have spent huge amounts of money in it over the past 7 months. I want to inject another 20k into it in the next 3 months therefore I need to figure out the best way to do it. I have several things I am thinking of selling and am trying to figure out values to decide what is the best option. I have sold alot of stuff in the last year and took a real bath on most of it, do to the economy. I bought this car in the height of the market and was looking for current market value to determine if the loss would be worth it, or to look for money in another way. I know the car will not be worth what I have into it, nothing is in thie economy. I know we are talking guess because value would be hard to determine without a personal look. As far as a guess I am satisfied with what is given. I am not saying I will sell it, just that I know have a number to use to help determine if I would want to sell. Quite honest I would prefer to not sell because I am sick of losing money on what I have, but I have to do what makes the most sense for my future.
