hi guys
My fuel pump on my 65k is in need of an overhaul. What can I buy that looks close to the orginal that will keep me going until I can get mine rebuilt??
cheers

Take a look on Ebay-there are always generic pumps which resemble the original that will work-my local discount chains can get a generic with the filter canister on it as well.
If you can't find one down under I'd be glad to get you one and ship it to you.
I'm not sure when and if Fred is going to do anouther run of his great restores/rebuilds-might want to contact him and see-he did mine and it works perfectly and looks great too! (3939S)
Steve, I am near the completion of my third run of fuel pump rebuilds and I am already receiving pumps for a fourth run. If you have a 3939-S original, I would consider getting yours done on the next run. If you do not have a correct original, I may be able to supply a clone that will appear the same with only a different number and, of course, no second spring.

Hi Fred
I have just removed my fuel pump only to discover it is not a hipo pump. Someone must have replaced it years ago. I am alittle unset as I know how hard these are to get.
What do you have that could get me going with the correct look pump and how much??
Steve
Steve, I have sent you both an email and a PM.

Fred,
I have an original fuel pump on my 64.5(3734-S)is there a function test that will let me know that it working corectly or needs to be rebuilt? I am currently restoring the car and guess that the fuel pump has about 64000 miles on it.
Bob
Put a vacum gauge on the IN side of nipple on pump and check vacum
