You may have seen these two on the inside cover of the old VA Mustang Catalog. (see signature pic below) We had some fun at the drive in tonight!

I'm in need of a '66 HiPo carb depending on the condition of the carb/price for my own car.

That's one super rare Pony you got there, and I love it! To be honest with you, those black wheels look kind of cool just the way they are pictured.

I got a set off e-bay, and I've heard that an aluminum beer can be used with a 1/4 inch punch to make the discs.

Great idea - I have both of those!

I'm missing one, too!

Any difference between moving at speed and going through the gears inside your garage?

So true,I agree with 66gtk.It seems only K code lovers notice them.I noticed them all the time and most owners are shocked to see that anyone notices a "K" code.... Remember Anoka, MN 66gtk?
On a positive note if everyone knows how neat they are, there would be even fewer around and prices would reflect that. Bob

Here's another one - anybody ever met this guy?
Guy struts to the car all arrogant and seemingly disinterested. Starts poking around under the hood and going through his mental checklist. Proper damper, proper numbers on the heads, properly stamped VIN...He seems a bit miffed at the whole thing hoping to show his superiority and dissapointed that he couldn't call your car another "fake". He never smiles, never compliments, just walks away.

Real men drive their trusty Kars even if it snows outside. At least the sun broke just long enough to take the picture and then it was gone forever....
Only a handful of cars showed up for Ford day at the local establishment. It's not the destination, it's the journey.

Well Brant, I'll have to try them. Sure looks ugly naked.

Well, that makes 4 lost center caps now in the past several years. Damn reproduction SS wheel center caps keep breaking. The backing plate is still there on the wheel, but the good looking part is gone. Does anybody make a quality center cap that doesn't break off. Imagine if I actually used my car much. I'd have to buy them by the case.

Wow - old thread resurected. Yep, that goop definitely was seam sealer. I've now seen it on a few original cars. I did remove it, though back when I did this job. It certainly looks better now that it's gone [Blocked Image: http://customshowboards.com/brant/album/medium/0004.jpg]

I had no trouble getting it started with the original bolt at all.

After a very long winter nap, the Konvertible came out to play today. Started up easily and drove to the gas station to fill up the tires with air and returned home for an oil change. A small amount of cruising to do a few errands and she's back in the garage. Sure was fun!!

looks awesome!

I have an original '65 GT glove box door if you need it.

Welcome, and good luck with your project!

The last waterpump I got at O'Reilys down the street from me a few short years ago actually had a Ford C8OE casting number in it, and still only $29!
