Hi, has anyone seen the videos Peterson Restorations has done recently about a 66 GT350 restoration he is undertaking?
The car is a CJ Pony Parts car and was on display in their showroom.
They have acquired a 65 K code coupe for the drive train to be used in the GT350.
The coupe is getting restored as well .

Yes, I've been following it. I'm not sure if I should be disappointed or happy. Yes the coupe is getting restored minus its drive train that's going into the Shelby.

The logic is a GT350 brings much more money, even with a mismatched drivetrain, than a Kcode coupe.
That's lazy as Hell if the coupe is numbers matching. There are plenty of HiPo motor parts and some complete motors for sale.
agreed ---plus putting a 65 k drivetrain in a 66 Shelby----makes no sense
