I have a '65 k-code, non-GT coupe. It has factory disc brakes, styled steel wheels and a deluxe interior, and of course a 4-spd, along with a few other options.
Some of the guys at my local Mustang club were guessing at the reason my kar was ordered the way it was and came to the conclusion that maybe it was not ordered at all and might have been a dealer display/demo and just bought off the lot. That, or maybe ordered by someone who wanted to fly below the radar (no fastback, stripes, fogs or badges; just a sleeper coupe).
I'm not looking to create additional (or fictional 
) value for the kar, just curious if non-GT k-coupes might be uncommon.
