I am just trying to understand here. Are you saying that this is a GT with lights, GT emblems, exhaust tips through the valance, etc., but with the stripes deleted?

I am surprised that it does not have a six digit DSO like the special paint cars and other deviations from normal. Did you get lucky and have the original window sticker?

no window sticker original owner has passed haven't pulled the carpet up yet

can it be sorted out how many cars were built with this combination ?

Unfortunately Ford destroyed all records prior to 1967.

it seems out of known K code cars per the 4th edition only 2 IF I'm correct
not taking in account the stripe delete

any input ?
The only input that I have is in regards to something this different from normal production should have had a 6 digit DSO. It should also show on the window sticker which no longer exists. It would certainly be mentioned on the broadcast sheet, if you can find it. Something this different would be printed out on that sheet and not in a code. This would be similar to the Hipo Comet broadcast sheet where one of the printed out parts discusses, "substitute special high performance 271 horsepower engine" among other things. They also had 6 digit DSO's. Cars with special paint also had the 6 digit DSO's.
It is certainly also possible that the original owner had the stripes removed by the selling dealer before the original owner took delivery of the Kar. Did this ever actually happen back in the day? Well, yes, as I personally had the bumble bee stripes removed by the dealer before taking delivery of my one and only new car as my wife did not like the stripes. This was a 67 RS SS 350 Camaro that I bought specifically to put my 427 Chevy in. I could not afford to buy one that somebody else built but I could sure as heck make my own.

You are probably correct about the TYPO. What VIN is stamped on the apron?

It appears that the owners manual does indeed have a TYPO and it is not even the original owners manual for your Kar.
