    Please note that this assembly is actually incorrect due to its appearing to have counterweights on the pressure plate where the Hipo pressure plate does not use them. The counterweights make the clutch grip better at higher RPMs but make the clutch pedal harder to push down during high RPM shifts.

    Yes, this is a 1967 part number but it also fits all of the way back to 1963 Hipo 289 engines. It is also correct for Boss 302 Mustangs.

    NOS Ford 289 Hi-Po clutch disc & pressure plate Boss 302 65-67 Shelby GT350 Mustang. Here is a clutch disc and pressure plate that have been sitting on the shelf for decades. These are original 289 Hi-Po clutch components that were re-manufactured by Ford many years ago. The pressure plate assembly has a Ford part number of C7ZZ-7563-B and the clutch disc has a part number of C7ZZ-7550-B . Both of these are with the original box with the correct part number on them. This clutch setup was used on the 289 Hi-Po engines that were used in all 289 HP cars including GT350 Shelby and I believe it was also used on Boss 302’s. As you can see it has been sitting on the shelf for years ready for your 289 Hi Po car. Original parts that are no longer available if you want the absolutely correct period part for your car.     I identified this assembly as rebuilt where the seller said it was NOS on purpose. When Ford still had their authorized remanufacturers around the country, all clutches were sold by Ford as remanufactured units. The fact is, that at least on these Hipo 289 clutches, they were actually new units as Ford was unable to come up with cores for them. Ford did clearly label the clutches as remanufactured, but they were in fact new. The seller stating in their auction that these were NOS is actually correct.

    NEW OLD STOCK 289 HIPO - BOSS 302 CLUTCH PRESSURE PLATE ASSEMBLY. Ford provided these only as a remanufactured item. For 289 Hipo or Boss 302 engine with 4-Speed and 10.5" Clutch. This is an ORIGINAL FORD NOS PART. In the box. The plate surface has built up some surface discoloration but doesn't look to be anything major. Will definitely need to be cleaned up/resurfaced before use. Everything else looks great. Has been dry stored for decades. Absolutely Impossible To Find NOS. Please email with questions.
