    Here is an Ebay auction for a rebuilt 4201-S Hipo fuel pump by Ebay member "pony-warehouse" with a Buy-It-Now of $2,500.00:

    This Auction is for A Rebuilt Real Deal 1966-67 Ford 289 Hi-Po Fuel Pump, just rebuilt.
    Beautiful Pump with Correct Carbureter stamping on side, Button Top.
    Has Casting Number # 4201S with Date code 4A6 January 4, 1966
    As everyone knows these Hi-Po pumps are really just about impossible to locate.

    [size=2]This is a restored 4201-S fuel pump for a 66 1966 and 67 1967 Mustang, and Shelby GT350 with a 289 high performance engine. The part number stamped on this one is 4201-S.The date code is 4A6A which is January 4, 1966 although I do sometimes have other date codes available as well. This is the real deal correct button top pump with the 1719 CARbureTER Made in U.S.A. casting with dual springs. It was just recently disassembled, replated and been rebuilt with diaphragms and valves compatible with current Ethanol laced fuels. I have done over 1,400 of these crimped together style pumps so far and I am planning to begin another run soon. Older rebuilt or NOS units are not compatible with current Ethanol laced fuels and can fail unexpectedly. You will not be disappointed with this pump. Doesn't your classic Ford deserve the best parts?[/size]

    Make sure that you do your due diligence on this one. There are a lot of negative tells on this one although I may be the only one with the proper experience with these to recognize them.

    you would have snapped it up straight away if it was correct at that price, unfortnately it will be purchased by someone will little experience and knowledge.

    i had a australian ring me a couple of weeks ago asking if i wanted to buy his original 65 hipo fuel pump that he no longer requires. the pictures where of a very discoloured previously restored Carter example that at one stage was restored by your good self for the deceased Bill Herndon.

    he paid $800usd for it. ouch
