Ford Mustang 289 hipo K code cylinder heads 1965 1966 1967 GT-350. Condition is "Used". These heads are bare. No valves. No studs. They appear to have been had some port work done. They also appear to have been previously fitted with larger valves. One head has crack repairs on the exhaust side. One repair is welded, the other has been repaired with what appears to be J-B Weld. I had both heads crack checked and these two flaws on the one head were the only ones found (the repaired cracks). I have Ferrea GT-40 valves for sale in another auction. Shipping is extra, will probably be two boxes. Shipping cost shown is an estimate, I will issue a refund if it is less. Thank you.

Be sure to read the sellers very honest description carefully. JB Weld is not a good repair where it is used. I have heads with similar issues and a proper welding job is expensive but it is a good repair.

Any potential buyer needs to pay very close attention to what is for sale here. One head is a C5OE Hipo head but the other one is a C4AE standard head that has been matched to the Hipo head. They have large valves and porting.

1965 Ford 289 HIPO Heads C50E Crane Fireball!. Condition is "Used". Over the counter Crane HIPO heads for that original stealthy look but the flow to push over 400 HP! These are for 1.84 intake and 1.54 exhaust valves. One of the intakes has a small chip out of the seat. I would guess a .010 cut would clean it up. The guides look to be original and could be run as is but getting close to servicing. They look to be very clean with no signs of damage, repairs, cracks other then the intake seat! Dated 5H27 and 5L4. Check out pics and any questions please ask!

Here we have a pair of good used Ford 289 High-performance heads recently brought to us from one of our recent buyouts. The 289 Hipo motor was the best Ford had to offer in the earlier model Shelby Mustangs and Fairlane's. The Shelby GT 350 and all K model Mustangs as well as Hipo Fairlane's all used these 271 HP motors. A stronger design these are a Cobra must and we have quite a bit more so let us know your needs. All the Hipo characteristics are present as seen in the photos. You can clearly see the recessed valve saddles and of course factory screw in studs. These 289 castings have a 19 on one head and a 21 on the top corner and a pronounced 4V on both the top and bottom sides. Pictures clearly show casting number C5OE and date codes are 5K6 and 5K2 for those that are in need of this info. These heads are nice with clean castings which is uncommon in these high revving motors. We see no signs of cracks, welds but these heads have been planned on the gasket side to assure a clean flat surface. These heads were both on a running 289 motor that had special rods main cap girdles had little use and has been in storage for many years. If interested watch the bottom half will be offered soon or just ask we can put up a auction just for you!! The footprint (recessed area on bottom of the head to indicate planning or modifications) are clean freshly cut away for ready to install usability. Got a need and want to bring that Mustang, Shelby, Fairlane, or any other ford product with a 289 to a whole new level of performance and strength with HiPo heads.
